Volkswagen big disc kits retain the original caliper only where the exact product says so. The generation, original brake package and axle must match.

Brake buying check: The bracket is designed to relocate a particular caliper over a stated disc. Check disc diameter, thickness, offset, bell and hardware against the listing. The larger disc and relocated caliper still need room inside the wheel barrel and behind the spokes. On a modified car, identify the hub, upright and caliper before trusting a model search result. A shared platform does not make brackets interchangeable. Use only the application confirmed for the actual brake setup.

Use the kit maker’s fitting, disc-orientation and bedding instructions for the purchased combination.

Brake work is safety critical. Use a suitably experienced installer and the current vehicle and component instructions. Do not drive the car until the system has been checked, bled and tested as those documents require.
