Tell us the car and the wheel size
Almost every brake question comes down to clearance. Your wheels, caliper mounting and current rear setup decide whether the kit fits. Most kits are built to order and cannot be returned, so send those details before paying.
Where we are and when we are open
Off the A46 in Nottinghamshire. Visits are by appointment, so book rather than turn up.

Big Brakes 4U is a trading website of GSM Performance, so it is the same address, the same phone number and the same two people as the seat and racewear stores.
What to send us so we can answer first time
None of it is compulsory. It just turns a three day conversation into one reply.
The car, properly
Make, model, year and engine. Year matters because hub carriers and caliper mountings change mid model run, and a kit that fits a 2012 car will not always fit a 2015 one.
Your wheel size and design
This is the one that decides everything. A 330mm disc behind a 17 inch wheel is a question of spoke clearance, not just diameter. A photograph of the wheel face and the back of the spokes tells us more than the size does.
What the car is used for
Road, trackdays, sprints or a championship. It changes the pad compound we would suggest and whether you actually need a full conversion or just a bigger disc on the standard caliper.
What is already on the car
Anything non standard about the suspension, hubs or existing brakes. Coilovers and spacers both change the answer.
Put your order number in the first line. It is on your confirmation email and your invoice. With the number we can see the manufacturer, the lead time and where in the build queue it sits, rather than asking you three more questions first.
Send us a message
Pick the closest category and give us as much of the above as you can. Everything lands in the same inbox.

Fitment questions are quicker on the phone than in writing, because the follow up questions come thick and fast. Ring 0115 9893488 with the car and your wheel size.
Common questions
How long does it take to receive my order?â–¾
It depends entirely on the product. Big brake kits and braking components are largely custom hand made to order, so those run to weeks rather than days. Stocked discs and pads move much faster. Send us the product code before you buy and we will give you a realistic date for that item.
What is your return and exchange policy?â–¾
Because most kits are built to order for a specific vehicle, they are not returnable once made. Stocked items in unused, as new condition in their original packaging can come back within 14 days. Check the returns and exchanges page before ordering.
Can you send the brakes straight to my garage?â–¾
Yes. Give the garage or workshop address at checkout as the delivery address. It is often the sensible option on a kit you are not fitting yourself.
How do I track my order?â–¾
Shortly after ordering you get an email and an SMS with your five digit invoice number and an estimated delivery time. We also run a full track and trace on every pending order each Monday and pass on whatever the manufacturer tells us.
I entered the wrong shipping address.â–¾
Ring us straight away. To change a delivery address after payment we need proof of address plus additional ID, which is a fraud protection requirement rather than us being awkward.
Will everything arrive in one package?â–¾
Most orders ship as a single package. Where one component becomes available ahead of the others we may send those separately, and we will tell you at the point of dispatch rather than leaving you wondering.
Do you ship outside the UK?â–¾
Ask us. UK delivery is free over £100 and international orders are quoted individually rather than priced at checkout, so contact us with the kit and the destination before you order.
Do you fit the kits?â–¾
No, we supply rather than fit. We will confirm what suits the car, what clearance you need and what else has to change, then you or your garage do the install.
Check the fitment before you order
Most kits are made to order and cannot come back. A short call before you buy is the cheapest insurance there is.
