A 1:43 scale four wheel drive radio controlled drift car, 38.99, in a choice of four body styles modelled on a BMW, a Ford, a Nissan or a Porsche. Comes with the 2.4 GHz controller, a Type-C charging cable, four spare tyres and eight traffic cones.
What it does
It drifts. Four wheel drive and hard plastic tyres let a car eleven centimetres long slide round the kitchen floor under proper control, and the spare tyres are there because they wear. The 2.4 GHz controller works up to about 20 metres away, indoors or out.
The numbers
Scale 1:43, about 11 by 4.5 by 3 cm, around 40 grams. A 200 mAh 3.7 volt lithium battery charges in about half an hour over the Type-C cable and runs for about half an hour. The controller takes four AAA batteries, which are not included.
In the box
The car, the controller, the charging cable, four spare tyres, eight cones to drift round, and instructions.
Which car
Choose the body at order: BMW, Ford, Nissan or Porsche. Four photographs on the listing show them.
Who it is for
Children old enough not to eat the cones, and adults who buy it for a child and then keep it. It is a present for the young racer in a racing family, and it is the same price as a set of pads for the real thing.
