Big Disc Kits
A big disc kit moves the original caliper outwards to work with a larger disc, where the exact listing says so. It is not a universal bracket-and-disc conversion.
Choose the vehicle below and read the included-parts list. Check the original caliper, disc dimensions, hub, bracket and wheel space. If any of those have already changed, stop and ask us before ordering.
Brake buying check: The larger effective radius can increase brake torque and the larger disc may add thermal capacity, but road stopping distance still depends heavily on tyre grip, surface conditions and the control systems on the car. The kit must keep the intended caliper position and pad sweep. Confirm disc rotation, bell and bracket orientation from the maker’s instructions, then follow the bedding procedure supplied with the disc and pad combination. Some kits use a one-piece disc; others use a separate bell and friction ring. Buy from the exact contents shown, not from a generic description.
Installation and bedding instructions differ between makers and friction materials. Use the documents supplied with the purchased kit.
Brake work is safety critical. Use a suitably experienced installer and the current vehicle and component instructions. Do not drive the car until the system has been checked, bled and tested as those documents require.
