Start with the car, the wheel and how it is used. Those three details decide which kits clear, how much disc capacity you need and whether the standard caliper can stay. Garreth and Cameron use the same checks when answering enquiries in Nottinghamshire.
A larger kit is not automatically the right one. Road cars often need better pads, fluid or a larger disc before they need the biggest caliper. Track cars need enough disc mass to deal with repeated heat. Wheel clearance sets the final limit on both.
Start with the question
A photograph of the wheel face and the back of the spokes often settles more than the stated wheel size. Send both with the make, model, year and current brake setup before ordering a made-to-order kit.
