A Golf, Polo or Transporter name is only the start. Volkswagen changes platforms, engines and factory brake packages within the same familiar model name.
Select the generation below. Send the year, engine, axle and original disc size, plus the wheel specification and photographs behind the spokes. Tell us about any GTI, R or factory brake option.
Brake buying check: Match the platform and year range on the product page. Front and rear kits raise different questions, and a rear change may involve the parking-brake arrangement. Check the original caliper and hub before relying on the registration alone when the car has been modified. Wheel clearance must cover the caliper body, hose route and wheel barrel through the intended fitment. Similar MQB-era cars can still have different original brakes. Do not transfer a kit between applications without written manufacturer confirmation.

Brake work is safety critical. Use a suitably experienced installer and the current vehicle and component instructions. Do not drive the car until the system has been checked, bled and tested as those documents require.
