TVRs often need a physical brake check before a catalogue answer is safe. Production changes, low volumes and previous owner modifications can all alter the starting hardware.

Choose the model below, then send the chassis or build details, axle, disc dimensions, caliper markings and photographs of the hub and upright area. Add the wheel width, offset and inside-spoke view.

Brake buying check: Match any manufacturer application notes to the specific car, not just the model badge. If the existing setup differs, stop and identify every part rather than adapting a vehicle-specific bracket informally. The proposed caliper drawing must be checked against the fitted wheel. Garreth or Cameron can tell you which measurements and photographs the kit maker needs. A previous brake upgrade is not automatically a useful donor setup. Record it accurately before replacing or extending it.

Written kit-maker confirmation and the supplied fitting documents take priority for the individual car.

Brake work is safety critical. Use a suitably experienced installer and the current vehicle and component instructions. Do not drive the car until the system has been checked, bled and tested as those documents require.
