The 300mm Sport kit is the entry disc size for the standard Ibiza MK2 variants. At £1,989.79 inc VAT for both the 1.8i 16V and 2.0 GTI, it needs 16 inch wheels. Pads and braided hoses are included, so the price shown is a complete front setup. The 6-piston Tarox caliper is a significant step from the factory setup, and the 300mm disc is the sensible starting point if the car is on 16s and the budget is the primary constraint.

Tarox 300mm Sport: Cupra at 16 inch
The 300mm Cupra kit is at the same price (£1,989.79) and the same 16 inch minimum wheel as the standard-model kits, but it is a different product built to the Cupra’s front hub geometry. The Ibiza Cupra ran a more powerful engine and a modified front suspension setup, which changed the hub. Tarox machine and test the Cupra kit against that specific hub. It will not interchange with the 1.8i 16V or 2.0 GTI kits.

Tarox 318mm Sport: standard models at 17 inch
Step up to 318mm and the minimum wheel goes to 17 inch. The price is £2,050.00 for both the 1.8i 16V and 2.0 GTI kits. On an Ibiza MK2 that has already moved to 17 inch wheels, the 318mm is the natural step over the 300mm: 18mm more disc for £60.21 more. The 6-piston caliper stays the same; the bigger rotor handles heat better on a car that goes on track or does sustained fast road driving.

The 318mm Cupra kit sits at the same £2,050.00 and the same 17 inch minimum wheel as the standard-model 318mm kits. Like the 300mm Cupra, this kit is engineered to the Cupra’s own front hub geometry. If the car is a Cupra and you want to go to 17 inch wheels alongside the brake build, this is the kit. The 330mm kit is the largest Tarox disc in the catalogue for this car and costs £2,280.00 for all three variants. It shares the 17 inch minimum wheel with the 318mm, so if the car is already on 17s the difference is a 12mm larger rotor for £230 more. On an Ibiza MK2 used for regular circuit work, the extra disc size earns its keep: more surface area for sustained heat, and the 6-piston caliper stays the same across the 318mm and 330mm.

Brembo GT 305mm: made to order (1999-2002 MK2)
This is the one Brembo kit that fits the Seat Ibiza MK2, and it covers the 1999 to 2002 model years only. Earlier cars from the original 1993 launch are not covered. At £1,584.70 inc VAT it is priced below the entry Tarox kit, though the two are not like-for-like: the Brembo uses a 4-piston cast aluminium caliper where the Tarox range runs a 6-piston billet, and the Brembo is made to order in Italy with a six to eight week lead time.

What is in each box
Both Tarox and Brembo kits include pads and braided hoses in the price. For Tarox, the pads come pre-fitted. For Brembo, pads and hoses are in the box. The Seat Ibiza MK2 Cupra was fitted with a different front hub geometry from the standard 1.8i 16V and 2.0 GTI models. Tarox machine and test the Cupra kits to that hub specifically. A standard-model kit will not bolt to a Cupra front hub, and a Cupra kit will not fit the standard hub. The Brembo kit does not split by variant: one part number covers all three. If the car is a 1999 or later MK2 and the budget is tight, the Brembo Gran Turismo at £1,584.70 is worth a look. It is £405 less than the entry Tarox and includes pads and hoses. The caliper is 4-piston rather than 6-piston and you are waiting six to eight weeks, but if the build is not on a deadline and the budget matters, Garreth would not talk you out of it.
