HiSpec Motorsport is now producing AP replacement rotors. Each rotor is produced from our UK sourced cast iron castings, precision machined using probe technology and the best CNC tuning machines and lathes available. The use of probe technology means we can achieve the most accurate size possible.
After initial machining all castings are heat treated in HiSpec’s very own heat treatment process, using a computer controlled environment. The heat treatment process allows the rotor to stabilise after the stress of being machined into your rotor. Each process of manufacturing a rotor is over seen by one of our experienced engineers.
The final stage for a HiSpec rotor is the grinding process to produce the best flat smooth finish. All rotors are machined so that the parallelism and face are to a tolerance close to 0.02mm producing a completely balanced rotor. AP rotors are available in Straight Grooved or Curved Grooved.
Straight Grooved Rotors: Improves heat dissipation and reduces gas build up on disc and pad surfaces allowing cleaner contact areas. Help with continuous pad deglazing. In wet weather grooves prevent a film of water building up between the disc and the pads.

Curved Grooved Rotors: Improves heat dissipation and reduces gas build up on disc and pad surfaces allowing cleaner contact areas. Help with continuous pad deglazing. In wet weather grooves prevent a film of water building up between the disc and the pads, these are similar to straight grooved but with a slightly different grooved pattern.
Cross Drilled Rotors: Improves heat dissipation and reduces gas build up on disc and pad surfaces allowing cleaner contact areas. Under strenuous circumstances are more likely to crack than grooved or plain rotors. Only available on vented and solid rotors.
